During the day at one point I turned around and there was LISA. Some of you may read Lisa's blog. She used to blog ALOT (hint hint) but now with her *black*berry* she does that OTHER THING, which I will not mention here! I had the honor of meeting Lisa 2 years ago at our first bloggy meetup. Last year she was unable to attend and this year she was planning a cruise so had to decline again. Since she has 2 rescues from GMPR, Coal and OMT (Old Man Turbo) I knew there was a chance she might get to the event this year. In the meantime Lisa's hubby has been very sick and in and out of the hospital. Well, she was able to get away with the two boys, and WhitBit. It was so great to see her and now just give her a cyberhug for all she is going through.
Aren't they a cute bunch?????
We put Coal and OMT in our Pug pen with our group. Whitney and her friend joined them. You can see Whitney wearing a "rescue" coat. We couldn't talk her into the parade. Poor thing, lots going on in her life!
She is an adorable girl! Honestly...she kept calling me Punchy and it was so darn cute!
They walked around a bit and left their Pugs in my care. I'm glad they were able to visit and have some relaxation from their troubles. I was sorry to see them go, but heh, now I know where they live!

Love your new banner and color! Very Octobery.
Whitbit is so cute! I think I'd rather sit with the pugs than be in the parade, too. So many sweet puggies to love on. I want to kiss my monitor when I saw the pug face on your banner!
That's great that Lisa was able to come down to the event.
