Heh...Bailey......

I think somebody is coming..... Let me know when they leave.....We had the whole family up to camp for the holiday weekend. C brought Charlie and R brought Bailey. All the Pugs except Kiki know Bailey since she lived with us for several months a couple of years ago. Kiki seemed to like her just fine. She is big, but gentle and pretty quiet.

bad weather, bad blogger, pretty good biopsy results

We are praying here for all our friends safety during this iNsANe weather period. I have decided that I will take our junky, snowy, freezing Winters over anything that is happening elsewhere.

Not sure about anyone else, but I have been having blogger troubles. Comment moderation has been SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. Posting troublesome and commenting on other blogs.....strange acting. Anyhow, I know I promised to do the drawing for the SewMamaSew Give-away, but due to all the problems I decided to draw tomarrow at Noon EST. Lastly, we got the call from the vet today about Zoey's tumors. They are definately Mast Cell, but the lowest grade and clean margins. As we were told when Marty had his tumors removed...Pugs get these and once they have them....watch them closely for new tumors. So pretty good news for our little spitfire!

Running around like a crazy woman while mama paid to bail her out! They said..."oh, she'll probably sleep straight through, she hasn't slept all day".....Yeah, right..... This was small area that emergency clinic said was nothing....

and the neck one. Surprisingly she is leaving it alone, although the whole area below the stiches is bloody red now from being shaved....

She asked I not share the "butt" shot. We should hear the results within the next 14 days. Stiches come out in 2 weeks, so I guess no modeling until then!

Prayers for Zoey....

Those of you on fb have already heard that Zoey has 2 Mast Cell Tumors. We are leaving here shortly to take her in for surgery to remove them. When she got sick last month I took her to emergency clinic. While there I asked about a growth on her leg. They said not to worry about it. While there she had to have IV fluids. Later in the week I noticed a sore on her neck. The IV site must have bothered her and she scratched at it and made it a wound. So, I kept an eye on it, kept it clean and put antibiotic cream on it a couple of times a day. Laying in bed one night about 10 days ago, I was petting her and noticed a raised site. I thought the IV site was infected. Upon further investigation I found the second growth. We made our vet appt. and waited. Yesterday both growths were needle aspirated. The news not good. So, I guess if she hadn't gotten sick I may not have found the second growth for awhile. I am constantly reminded what the instructor told me when I took the Red Cross Course for animals...."you know your Pet best".

So, please be sure to check your little one's "skin". If you notice anything, have it checked. It could be nothing and you waste a bit of money. But, it could be SOMETHING and you could save their life!

Let's hope we are finding Zoey's in time, she does well with surgery, and has many, many, more happy years with us!

April showers bring May showers?

Despite the rain we loaded the Pugs in the truck and headed to camp on Saturday. The rain made everyone very sleepy. Rosie was over on the bench having a solo sleep. Not sure why, there is plenty of room left on that sofa!

Chance & Lucy are 5 years olds that are looking for their FUREVER home. They must be adopted together! If anyone has room in their hearts for this pair, please send me a note!!! They are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. They love kids too! They are currently residing at my vet's office. Anyone???? Chance....

Spring has Sprung

Spring has finally arrived and now come the babies! It is amazing all the baby Canadien Geese that are at our ponds. I counted 14 this morning!

Wanted to share a quick pic of the gifts C showed up with on Mother's Day. Those roses are amazing. I need to take another pic to show how much they've opened since Sunday! Of course her card is a lab since her dog Charlie one. It is so funny how my kids own BIG dogs and we own MANY SMALL ones. I have felt lately that I can't seem to catch up with myself. Trying to work, keep house, blog, fbook, emails, sew, 5 dogs, a husband....I really wonder how I ever raised 2 children! I'm fairly certain it was easier for me since we didn't have blogs and fbook when I was in the midst of motherhood. Maybe having children kept me more grounded, more efficient? Maybe I'm just not into perfection for myself like I was in the past. Maybe it's all the dog hair?

Let the adventures continue!

SJF Commencement 2011 - Yeah!!!!!

Somewhere there's a pic of C holding Chloe when she graduated from high school...we took this to compare how they've both grown up! Now to find the high school version..... C has worked very hard to reach this day. She worked and took a full load of classes. I know there were times she was thinking she just couldn't do it, but she hung in there and got it done. I am just wondering where all the years went? I'm pretty sure my dad is wondering the same thing....here he is with her. Sadly my mom and grama both passed away when C was 15. They have not been here to witness what a beautiful, honest and loving young woman she has become.

The OMG I missed Marty's Birthday Post!!!!

Not sure WHAT I was thinking or not thinking, but I seriously missed Marty's birthday. Now in my head I really didn't know I missed his birthday, because I decided in my little world that his birthday was this Thursday - May 5th. I so thought this that I have been telling everyone for days "Marty turns 12 this Thursday, blah, blah, blah". I even ordered his birthday treats for THIS THURSDAY. But alas Marty's REAL birthday is MAY 1st!!!!

Happy 12th birthday Marty!!! We love you Mr. Grumbles!!!! Your party is tomarrow!!!!! I promise!!!!
