Sol Sunshine Memorial Fund

Don't forget to visit my etsy shop!

Thanks to those that have purchased from my shop throughout this month! I can't wait to receive more photos from you all with your furry ones all dressed up and those little stuffed puggies in their new homes!! The sale is due to end today, but I have decided to continue it through Sunday evening to round out the weekend. Stay tuned as I have several more items to list tonight! Hopefully!!! Also remember custom orders also will count towards this event.

Hugs,
Punchy!

Black on Red

Marty has his 11th birthday coming up! Although he does have his share of breathing issues, he is otherwise one happy little old man! Lately I have really been noticing the changes in him since we rescued him 3 1/2 years ago....
he will actually look into the camera
he will let P cut his nails!
he will give a kiss
he will cuddle next to you in bed
I think he is really happy with us and we are happy with him!

Awww, do I have to go to work?

Not sure how this blanket got over in this corner, but a silly little bunch of Pugs claimed it for their own! Marty is wishing they would all move their "little" butts over so he can fit in! Happy Wednesday!!!!

Me against the woodchuck....

I haven't done any gardening yet this year, but every day I push this piece of lattice back in place under porch and every afternoon it looks like this again......
I thought at first it was that bunny...but then last week I saw the bunny had been squished by a car...poor bunny! Now I don't mind that fat little Woodchuck hanging about, but maybe she could go over to the barn and hang there? I have a feeling she is going to be enjoying my flowers this year and that doesn't make me real happy!

the lake....
the rabid raccoon.....

but....I did take this familiar pic........ this group really loves camp.....really!

PS - Miss Chloe was lounging in the bedroom and is absent from the pic!

I can almost like progress....

When I was young this land was still part of my grandparents farm 100 acre farm. When we purchased the house from my grandmother in 1987, the farm consisted of only 1.25 acres. This view from my kitchen windo was a private road and a lush green field. Move ahead to the 90's and a company built a warehouse. It was still lush and green from our view...but just glance to the left and behind the trees you would see the warehouse. A couple of years ago a company purchased the warehouse and adding a MAJOR addition and parking lot to the front, the private road became public and the green field was dug out to make 3 ponds....I gotta tell you I LOVE looking at these ponds. They have fountains which run during the weekdays and the water fowl is amazing. Saturday morning I watched this Blue Heron. He (she?) has been there on an off all week. I don't know much about Herons, but they are beautiful for sure. I can handle this type of progress. The sort where wildlife can still live and visit.....

Reuseable bags...

Have you seen the new "green" bags at JoannFabrics? The bags are bigger than those sold at the different stores around. I love the fresh design and find it perfect for carrying about projects I am working on. Only thing is when it is filled with a project, I'm not taking it with me to the store...hmmmmm....guess I better buy another!

Here come the brides......

I had a custom order come in for matching wedding gowns for two Pugs that are going to be in their mom's wedding. She sent a fabric sample and off I went to purchase and create. I used a more expensive fabric and it was wonderful to sew on! Zoey tried on one to see how it was going to look......

I was received a note from the bride-to-be and she was VERY happy, which makes me VERY happy! I can't wait to see her wedding photos!

So sad to see them go.....

A couple of puggies went over the rainbow bridge yesterday. It is never easy to let go, whether old or young.....

What a way to go......literally!

My friend S's dad passed away last week. He owned his own trucking business. His last trip in his own truck was a traffic stopper for sure!

RIP Mr. K

Sol Sunshine Memorial Fund

Many of you are readers of Owned by Pugs and know the story of sweet Sol who passed away in March. As the proud owner of a senior rescue and a blog friend of the Owned by Pugs family I contacted Sol's mama and told that I wanted Sol's fund to be the recipient of my April etsy special. For the month of April I will donate $5 of EVERY item I sell in my etsy shop to Sol's Sunshine Memorial Fund. Whether I sell one item or 20 this is my pledge. You can read about Sol's Memorial Fund HERE.

Thanks,
Punchy
