Delphiniums

This past weekend P and I visited a local garden stand. I was looking for another hanging basket for camp and spotted some Delphiniums. Since I am an avid perenial lover and always looking for something new to add to one of my gardens, I decided to buy two. I purchased a white and a purple. The white one has been planted at camp and the purple one is being planted at home. I'll see where they do better and if they survive and come back next year. I really wanted to take the white one home....but....as you can see it is already well over 4 1/2 feet tall and I did not want to take the chance of breaking it on the trip home. I would have loved to see those beautiful white flowers against the red brick of our house.

Pug Approved Belated Birthday Gift!

When I arrived home on Friday a package was waiting for me. P was a tad nervous as there were vent holes on the sides of the box. He had grave concerns some type of "live animal" was inside....honestly P, it would have been marked "live cargo" or something, wouldn't it? Anyhow the Pugs and I opened the box and were thrilled to see a belated b-day gift from Norman and his woman.....

Seems they pay great attention to the "theme" at camp.....flamingos!

These beach towels are fabulous! I'm thinking about NEVER using them, they are so cute!!!

Marty and Zoey gave their snorts of approval.....

and Chloe and Rosie gave theirs too!
Thanks Norman and Tammy (and Ian too)!!!!!

More Cats.....

and Pugs..... a few more pieces that have been added to my shop.....

Seems my sewing machine is getting lonely, but I'm enjoying my painting time. Painting is a lot more portable than sewing. Plus even though I tend to take over the space I'm working in there aren't little scraps of fabric and thread all over the place!

Priscilla asked about my "space" at camp where I paint. Well, depends on the day and the weather. I love to paint in the screened porch, but if it's way to cold and rainy or late at night I tend to paint in the kitchen area. I have a Lazy Susan I put my paints on and it's a fairly easy clean up.

I've been busy painting......

cRaZY CaTS!!!

I love to sit and paint at camp and I always hear that I'm all about Pugs. So I started adding cats. I'm having a great time with these cat paintings and am incorporating Cats & Pugs in many of the things I'm working on. I've listed a few things in my etsy shop. I still have a bunch of completed canvas paintings to add, but probably won't have time for a few days.

So stay tuned for more Crazy Cats and Pugs....

Saturday Morning Pug Meetup

Saturday's Meetup was an Ice Cream Social in honor of Pugs members have rescued. I'm honored to say I've been involved in 6 of the Pugs shown! The first Pug I ever helped find a home for is diabetic and completely blind. His mom loves him and wouldn't trade him for anything!

We had doggie ice cream and "make your own" human sundaes. Sadly, I did not get photos of that part. Marty loved the doggie ice cream. We tried Pumpkin. Chloe and Zoey liked it also, Rosie thought it was horrible.

Buster takes the runway...who says cats don't dress?

Buster wanted to help out with my dress shop. I'm not sure white and pale pink are his color. He did a pretty good job, although he was distracted by the concession stand.

A home again...

Last week we did some repairs at the rental house. I think I may have mentioned before that this is the house I was brought home to when I was born. In fact, that corner right there in the picture...my crib was there. This little house seems safe to me. Many families have lived here over the years...many. So P had to repair the ceiling and I sat on the rug and thought about the past, then he kicked me and told me to get back to work! Only kidding, but he did tell me to get back to work! I painted as he worked, then he went on into the other bedroom and hung new closet doors and I continued to paint....

Then we finished up the ceiling and cleaned up and vacumned and I think it turned out real nice. The new tenant invited me in last night and showed me all her stuff in place. I would have asked to take a pic..but really I don't know her that well! She might think I was a stalker or something...

Then let's move on to the kitchen. My dad says he can still see me in there in my highchair..wow, he sure has a good memory! It's been a long time since my butt fit in a highchair...and the kitchen....my new tenant LOVES RED...seems we have something in common. See that red microwave! I need it, think she'd notice it was gone????

Anyhow, it is great to see lights on over there again. I hope they stay for awhile!
