That old bad things happen in threes.......

Sadly another of our dear Pug friends has crossed that Rainbow Bridge.  I think that bridge is crossing a river full of tears that have fallen in the past few weeks. 

Please whisper a prayer and hug your babies in sweet Polly's memory.  Another one lost too soon.  Special hugs to her mom Annie, who is VP of Kentuckiana Pug Rescue (and Kiki's former foster mom).  Annie's past three weeks have been more than any animal lover should have to endure.......

I had a nice birthday this year. Lunch with   C and my SIL and dinner with my dad and family. Afterwards our traditional cake with the Pugs.  Life is sweet!

The Ultimate Birthday Post Revisited

Today is my birthday, again.  Wasn't it just my birthday?  I've had a lot of birthdays.  I remember many and would like to forget others!  Five years ago I was shocked by my age.  Now I am stunned.  Where has this time gone?  I can not be this old, can I?  Everyone says age is only a number and I too agree....but as the numbers get higher your outlook changes!  We have to embrace each year, each change!

So as they say most things we do in life are imprinted when we are young, so here goes!

RIP Coco

Just the thought of another little blogger buddy going to the Rainbow Bridge has set this Pug mama into a sad, sad, state.  It is so very difficult to acknowledge that no matter how very hard we fight to keep our furry ones with us, they must go before us.

Please join me today in saying a sad farewell to Coco please go over and give his mom a hug.  She sure needs one today.

RIP Norman Featherstone

Back when I first started blogging I found Goodboy Norman Featherstone. Over the weeks a bunch of us became "blogging friends" and got to know each other across the miles. In October of 2007 I traveled to Charlotte, NC to meet some of them. On the last day of my journey I traveled home with Norman's mom and spent the day with them and overnight! I even got to share my bed with Norman. Sadly at the age of 12 Norman has passed away. He gave that old Cancer a run for it's money! God speed little Norman. I will treasure our friendship forever....

Mother's Day Weekend 2013

We had a pretty full weekend here at Pugpossessed. Friday P's kidney stones were acting up, so it was pretty quiet. He still did not feel good on Saturday, but our son came over and took me out for lunch with Baby B. She was a very good little girl with the long wait to get seated and the long wait for our food. Afterwards we hung at the house for a bit and then he headed home to do errands and I babysat! Gosh, I love this little pumpkin. When I look at her I think of how my own grama felt about me. Sweet unconditional love!!!! How I wish my own mom was her to see her and hold her. Sunday we met up with my dad for breakfast and then C, P and I headed to the Lilac Festival. It was pretty cold, but the Lilacs were beautiful and the rain held off! Unfortunately our last stop there was at a coffee booth and the wind picked up and the top of the booth lifted and konked C on the head!!! She ended up with an egg on her head!!! Between P's bad kidneys and the head konk we knew it was time to go home!

Marty would like to thank everyone for his birthday wishes. He had a good day and says he doesn't feel any older.

Happy 14th Birthday Marty!

Today our little old man Marty turns 14. According to the charts that means he is 84 in human years. He has now "almost" lived with us as long as he didn't live with us. I think he had really put his past behind him. He is greyer, practically blind, limps, coughs, and generally sleeps the day away. He can also run like the wind, bark at birds and be the first one in line for treats. We love you Marty. We never thought you'd see 14 and now your showing everyone the odds were in your favor!
