Be careful where you doodle....

someone may make them into art!

Last week I stopped at ColorMeMine to drop a gift off. We got to talking while I was there (something new, eh?) and I was overcome by the fact the table was covered in paper...white, blank paper.....a pallette for sure! I jokingly drew a Pug, Boston, and a Pom. Did I think those doodles were destined for anywhere but the garbage can???? Today L surprised me with tiles made from the doodles! I LOVE THEM!!!!

Seriously, just ask them if their ready to go!!

Forget it Marty....girls only up here, where the heck is Rosie?Just stuff everything underneath, we're fine up here...really! What? We can't ride with the gate up?????

wE goTS ThE nEw FrIDge!!!!

It is strange seeing this black fridge where we always had bisque....24 years of bisque. Strange how it is SO black it washes Marty out in a pic!

The magnets look strange on the front door. I put a few on the side, but not sure where they will all end up. Maybe I'll have to paint one of my walls with magnetic paint?

It is still pretty empty...but we'll fill it up!

Pay no attention to that silly giraffe bag....Marty thinks he is going along. He is going to cry like a big 'ole baby when he finds out he is going to camp with mama and daddy and us girls are having a sleepover pawty weekend!


Anyhow, we were in charge of wawi-melon. We helped mama shop for the perfect one....


we thought about the last time we had Pigs...I mean Pugs over for wawi-melon and decided maybe one would not be enough.... We packed wawi-melon hats for everyone to wear if it gets cold.... and pretty wawi-melon dresses.....

Oh, we almost forgot, we also got wawimelon cake....pay no attention to that missing piece...burp....Rosie had to be sure it tasted okay.....

and plenty of wawi-melon cookies.....

We are heading out very early, so we'll see everyone on Saturday! I need me some sleep.....

A few things have made their way to my etsy. I have two shows coming up in the Fall, one in September and one in October. I am determined NOT to let myself fall behind in being ready!

wE stILL AiN't gOT No FRidgE

So the refrigerator passed away on July 9th. No services were held. The new fridge was ordered on July 12th.....with the horrifying delivery date of July 26th. We did NOT anticipate that it would be SO hard to live without a fridge. I mean our house was built in 1840...there were YEARS of no electricity and no fridge.

Rosie just can NOT believe the fridge is empty! Where are the carrots? Where are the green beans?

Never mind Rosie, after 5 fridgeless days Mom gave in and brought the small antique fridge home from the office.....

A surprise

I LOVE making gifts to surprise friends. C loves Bats and Bostons, so I got an idea and made it for her. Last night I met up with her to drop it off.... I'm pretty sure she was VERY pleased. It is fun, no?

Weekend....

Friday I got home from work and we discovered that our refrigerator had DIED. Most of the items in the freezer had defrosted...sigh. We emptied, threw out, and packed what we could salvage to take to camp. It was hard leaving knowing that we would not be able to get out and look for a replacement until today....another sigh. Meanwhile R is still dealing with the accident he had on July 4th when the drunk driver hit him. We are STILL today trying to get things settled. The insurance company of the driver had made life VERY difficult....VERY. C is also waiting for her back-ordered replacement phone. It is two weeks. You all KNOW how she is acting, right?????

The bright spot of the past few days is the transport I was part of on Sunday. You all know how I feel about being part of these. Five lucky Pugs making their way from Missouri.....


One in fact already has adoption pending! I left camp at 9:45am and returned back there at 2pm....I'm tired today!

in fact she LOVES all dogs, owns two Bostons, a Pom and a Doberman, she in fact is the friend who made me that wine goblet, so.....as a surprise I painted her this painting. Sorry the pic is so small...it is really MUCH bigger...
