Our Princess Chloe....
You are sure to notice our blog header change. The image used for the header came from custom artwork done for me from LiliChin. When GMPR had their last silent online auction, I won a certificate for a custom artwork piece from her. I was really excited and then realized I not only had to pick ONE of my group to focus on, but I had to pick what I wanted the portrait to show. Since Chloe is indeed the Princess of our family...being the FIRST Pug and all, I decided she should clearly be my choice. Years ago I created the dress depicted for a local Fashion Show. I had her add the tiara as a finishing touch. I think it came out awesome. Lily was terrific to work with. The turnaround time was very fast and she gives you the digital image to use as you wish. She also donates 20% of every sale to Boston Rescue. Here is a LINK to her post about Chloe and I.

Chloe speaks....
A couple of weeks ago dad was involved with his annual "fishing derby".....like what's a derby???? Anyhow, mom takes care of the trophies for the winners. She makes sure they are different each year and we can hear her grumbling in there about why don't they have Pug trophies..yada, yada, yada....
So mom decided I, the Big Kahuna, should be the winner. Afterall, I LOVE riding on the Pugboat, I love watching my dad fish, and I really can't help it that the pole keeps slipping out of my paws.....
Wait.....you brought the fish back????? Mom does not like dad bringing the fish back!

Losing it...
It "appears" Chloe has a bladder infection. I pretty much know the signs. So I "got a sample", bagged it...AND LOST THE BAG! Somewhere in my house there sits a plastic bag...with a "sample" in it....GOOD GRIEF! Now that little woman is pretty hard to get a sample from. Not sure when the next opportunity will be......drat.....

First born stuff
Chloe is my first born Pug. She's the one that started our Pug family. She usually looks much like a potatoe bug, but this day she was HOT and stretched out on the cool floor. We haven't hd much of that hot weather so far this summer. I'm not a big fan of hot weather, so I really haven't missed it all that much. I'm just really hopeful it doesn't decide to be 100 and humid for the wedding. The wedding of my first born human! It is less than 8 weeks away. Hard to believe. They have been dating so long......engaged so long....and planning so long. The shower (combined) is this coming weekend. Our end of things is falling into place. I think it is a tad stressful to be planning this in the midst of present economy, but I'm sure it will all turn out nice. I picked up my dress yesterday! Yes, I got a dress! You many think...hmmm, she never talked about a dress. But, I went to local shop, tried on this dress first and loved it. It was WAY more than I wanted to spend, but heck my time and stress is worth more! So now to get the shoes and decided on jewelry, buy a shower gift, plan rehearsal dinner. All in the midst of the 1000 other things I'm involved in. I know I'm going to wake up and it'll be November and I'll be wondering where all the time went!So my first born is getting married...phew...that's weird.

Marty's bad weekend
Rosie wants to tell everyone about Marty's bad weekend. Zoey would rather forget the whole darn thing!
Everyone planned on having a good time playing outside, going for walks, and maybe even a boat ride....
but....poor Marty was sick. It all started on Thursday with him having ****dia****a - ugh, even the word is gross...plus Rosie doesn't know how to spell it. Besides the potty problem, he was not eatting...anything. Mom tried ground beef, yougurt, treats, cottage cheese, regular cheese, cake, more treats, kibble, scrambled eggs. Wow, us girls wished we could eat the stuff she was throwing in the garbage!
We all left for camp and dreamed of mom's birthday cake, but all mom could think about was Marty. She was sure he was full of cancer and she was crying. He did not eat on Friday or Saturday and continued with his potty problem. Mom said she didn't care what was going on at camp, she was taking Marty home to the emergency vet. Everyone there got pretty nervous because of the surprise party they had planned for mom. Finally on Saturday night Marty ate some of dad's beefstick. Normally mom would NEVER allow this, but she was so happy he ate anything! On Sunday morning mom made him rice and a little kibble and he gobbled it up! He still had the potty problem, but was at least eatting. By Monday he was back to normal and mom was sure happy about it! Good thing none of us girls got it!!!
