Buster got a job...

Buster earned $20 yesterday! We got involved with a study through our vet and a local college. It is a "rotational preference" study. The first part was yesterday. She was here for an hour. We filled out questionaires, she met with him, video taped him, and then we did the "study" part. Apparently he was acceptable for the study as he is now scheduled for the second part and will earn another $20 for his "work". Do you think he'll have to fill out tax forms this year?

PS - The "sample" has still not been found. Another sample was taken and delivered to vet and poor Chloe does have an infection. 10 days.......blah blah blah.....

Losing it...

It "appears" Chloe has a bladder infection. I pretty much know the signs. So I "got a sample", bagged it...AND LOST THE BAG! Somewhere in my house there sits a plastic bag...with a "sample" in it....GOOD GRIEF! Now that little woman is pretty hard to get a sample from. Not sure when the next opportunity will be......drat.....

Bridal Shower

Saturday was the bridal shower.....luckily we didn't have "real" showers. We played a game called "design a bridal gown". You got two rolls of toilet paper, 2 pieces of tissue and 6 paper clips.....our bride's dress literally fell off! Has anyone played this game?

Friends and family were VERY generous. The gifts were beautiful!

I had my bf make the cake and cookies to use as shower favors. I love the idea of "edible" favors. Plus, I LOVE cookies! We are doing a similar theme for the wedding. My dad says he is going around the tables to take the ones left behind!

We also managed to book the rehearsal dinner site this weekend. Another item to check off my list!

Today

Today I simultaneously broke one of my red dishes and a casserole dish on the floor in 3 million pieces surrounding 4 Pugs.....

Yep, that's how today went. Looking forward to tomarrow.

First born stuff

Chloe is my first born Pug. She's the one that started our Pug family. She usually looks much like a potatoe bug, but this day she was HOT and stretched out on the cool floor. We haven't hd much of that hot weather so far this summer. I'm not a big fan of hot weather, so I really haven't missed it all that much. I'm just really hopeful it doesn't decide to be 100 and humid for the wedding. The wedding of my first born human! It is less than 8 weeks away. Hard to believe. They have been dating so long......engaged so long....and planning so long. The shower (combined) is this coming weekend. Our end of things is falling into place. I think it is a tad stressful to be planning this in the midst of present economy, but I'm sure it will all turn out nice. I picked up my dress yesterday! Yes, I got a dress! You many think...hmmm, she never talked about a dress. But, I went to local shop, tried on this dress first and loved it. It was WAY more than I wanted to spend, but heck my time and stress is worth more! So now to get the shoes and decided on jewelry, buy a shower gift, plan rehearsal dinner. All in the midst of the 1000 other things I'm involved in. I know I'm going to wake up and it'll be November and I'll be wondering where all the time went!

So my first born is getting married...phew...that's weird.

Vacation Projects

As usual with my "camp" vacations I have a list of things I'd like to work on. I took books on tape, painting supplies, sewing machine and lots of fabric.

I never lifted a paintbrush.
I got through 2 books on tape.
I had a lot of company.

But, I did manage to sew 4 dresses for my etsy shop. Hopefully I'll get them posted today!

and after the weekend......

Pug Camp....

Vacation started out with the holiday weekend. Eight Pugs, seven humans and lots of fun!

look close, all the chairs are "taken"....I'm pretty sure I could easily handle five....

We're on vacation with the Pugs....
