This is probably P's worst time...when the boat comes out of the water for the year. There was only one other boat besides ours still docked, it was time. Someone has to sit in the car, since none of the Pugs are tall enough, I was elected.
Sometimes it is a little scary seeing the boat come at you....
Especially if you feel the driver is not watching where he is going.....
Phew.....
After this we went into town to use the car wash to clean off the boat bottom. 16 quarters, cleaning supplies, and it looks pretty good. We ordered pizza and salads at the local pizza place, which was really "hopping" for a Saturday night. Back to camp for eat and get to bed. Sunday it promised to be a horrible day weather wise, so we packed up the stuff we take home for the winter and left by 11am.
Next week..down comes the screen room.

Aunty Punchy - if you got any "after the boat pawty pizza" left, could I have some?

Oh, I didn't realize you had to take the screen room down for the winter. =(
My mom and dad took their boat out of the water yesterday - they took it for one last joy ride and then had to be done with it. It is a sad day, indeed.
Its so disapointing to do stuff like that. Almost like packing up christmas things at the end of the season :(
We're sad summer is over too. Even though we like fall, there is something special about the summer.
Wow, that time sure did seem to fly by!!
Sad to see the end of summer, but it's a good thing and just think how wonderful it will be when you can use it again next year!
that's sad! even the weather was dreary for closing up camp. it seems like ya'll just opened camp!
Aw, that was a bummer. Summer seemed to go by way too fast. What with all the rain we had, it didn't really feel like summer at all.

I dread this time of year...seems like we just opened our place and this coming weekend we too will be taking our screen roof off. ( we keep our sides up all summer) it is going to be a long 7 months until camp season arrives again.....sighhhh
It sure looks as if he's not paying attention. Geesh! I'd be nervous too!
