Bloggy Meetup 2009 - Part 1

We woke up early Friday morning to set off for the trip. We look pretty wide awake considering how late we stayed up visiting.

The drive started out dark and rainy. J took lots of pics of the foggy, blurry mountains, bridges, towns, etc. As I was driving I didn't take any. I'm sure she and C are happy about that!

We arrived to our destination to sunshine and hot weather...woohoo!We quickly got our condo keys and unpacked like crazy women. This is a pic of the enclosed porch area that was off the master bedroom and living room. I think I may have had time to sit out there for 5 minutes one day.....After unpacking we went to the pool. C just can't believe her good fortune to be at a pool, in the sun, in the middle of October!Warm as it was I took myself into the outdoor hottub. There was also an indoor pool and hottub, but it was way too nice to be inside!About an hour after we got there Girlville and Norman's Woman arrived. I met them by the gate and drove with them to unpack and then we all went back to the pool to relax. Around 6 or so we headed over to TraderJoe's to pick up some stuff for dinner. We stayed up VERY late and still managed to get up VERY early.

Saturday morning we all piled into my car and headed to the outlet mall. I attempted photos to the backseat....
Everyone had a successful shopping trip....some MORE than others. Winston and Clemintine's mom, Rachel met us there and then showed us a nice restaurant for a late lunch. I loved all the quotes around the restaurant walls....After lunch we decided to continue and travel to the Williamsburg Winery. C was in the driver's seat.....Road in.....Rows of grapes.....

In the history room...everyone seems to be listening, except C!

Bottle collection...does anyone remember how many bottles were there???????The premier wine tasting tour room. The people that do this tour pay more, but they get chocolate covered strawberries! No one had long enough arms to reach them..... We got to take home our "tasting" glass. I wasn't too impressed with their wines. We have a lot of good wineries in NYS...guess I'm spoiled.

Rachel came back with us to the condo. She brought us delicious cookies from a recipe she got from Salinger's mom for Foodie Friday. Someone took a photo of them, apparently not me! We stayed up very late talking and laughing.
Tomarrow...Colonial Williamsburg.....aka not the place for those who hate history OR reading...right Tammy?????

Back to reality....

Yesterday I worked on no sleep...nada, zip. I found myself literally falling asleep in the middle of something and my head would jerk and I would wonder how I was going to make it through the rest of the day! I drove home in record time and sampled those canadian chips aka rice cakes (thanks J!), ate P's leftover sandwhich from lunch....and tried to converse with P. When C came home dragging her feet also, we called the insurance company to take care of getting the HUGE CRACK in her windshield replaced. At 7pm I went up to bed. Last words I recall until 5:30am this morning were..."could someone get the dogs"........

So until I have time to sort the photos this is the sad, tired, end of a busy bunch of weeks for me sort of post......

But...at least it's not snowing here yet!

Third Annual Bloggy Meetup comes to an end.....

C, Clover's mom and I stayed on and continued the meetup. We got in to our house at 5am this morning and Clover's mom had to be at the airport by 8:30am....we're tired....very tired. My calculations have J landing right about now, C is taking a test at college and I'm at work trying to function on no sleep. I'll post more of our fun, including the other bloggers and their Pugs that we met, when I have a chance to sort through the photos and clear my tired brain. We had a blast!

Off to VB

We're spending the last day of bloggy meetup going to Virginia Beach and seeing some Puggy friends. Clover's mom and C are hoping the beach is WARM....gotta be warmer that it is up where we live!

New items on etsy....

Zoey is showing off some of my newest etsy items. Everyone needs a change once in a while and I have been wanting to do some sort of dog jewelry. I finally was able to locate different colors of chunky beads and created some necklaces. I think they're adorable! They can be worn alone or with another collar or harness.

Sugar got her angel wings.....

Please stop over and give Sandy a cyber hug over at Ragus Pugs. Little Sugar got her wings yesterday. Sandy is an amazing lover of Pugs (and other dogs too!). She has suffered many Puggy losses in the past two years and continues to adopt and care for these babies!

The rest of the weekend.....

Saturday morning we packed the group up and headed to the Halloween Meetup.

After meetup we headed home to drop the dogs off and change for a clambake. I should have taken pics of the food, but I was busy helping my girlfriend serve, clean, etc. P ate 14 dozen clams!!!

Sunday morning we got up bright and early to head to camp to finish closing up.

and then drove off saying goodbye to another Summer.......

can you all still call me Punchy?

the Bug is not retiring, but after 10 years and 115,000 miles it is going to rest a bit. I still love that Bug, but really needed to move on a bit. While this may not be the car of my dreams, the price was right! Plus it's cream colored (Pug?) with tan colored (Pug?) interior. The back area is a Pug's dream!
