Pet Expo
Today was Pet Expo. It was held at the arena for the local community college. I volunteered to help out at the dog park booth. In order to have a dog park in our county, it was decided that we would have to have 4 in 4 different parks to be fair to the entire community. The cost for these fenced areas is $52,000, of which $29,500 has been raised. Everyone we spoke to wants a dog park, yet we are caught in the bull of not being able to even have one started...4 or nothing. Hopefully getting the word out this year we will have these areas before summer ends. So, Rosie and I (Chloe and Zoey stayed home) went off to with my best friend and her mixed breed, Lexie. Rosie dressed up, of course. There was a lot of booths there with everything from rug cleaning, to wild animals. They had a pet agility area, and had obedience demonstrations. We bought a new toy, got an engraved heart tag for Rosie's harness and walked around and visited. A lot of our puggy friends were there too. We stayed from 12:30 to 4:00 and Rosie put herself to bed when we got home! Poor tired baby!
Tomarrow is our "celebration of life" party for Yoshi our pug pal that has cancer and my pre-birthday celebration with all my canine and human friends. Hopefully someone else will take photos, as I never seem to take them at events..too busy having fun and talking!
PS Willow & Belle and Family...rain has stopped here, cross your fingers!
Alfred's mom - THANKS for the card!!!! Alfred makes a fine looking card! Sweet of you to send!
