Well, today was it. I have actually had a very enjoyable few days heading up to 50. My son and his fiance bought me this beautiful white lilac and HAD to give it to me on Saturday! Apparently, "someone" was listening when I was talking about wanting a white lilac!
On Sunday, at our puggy party I got a Joanne Fabrics gift card, frames, and this great dog cot/screen bed for the girls:
I started out today with flowers from my co-workers. My daughter stopped by on her way to class and gave me a great bath set from Victoria's Secret, a flower arrangement and beautiful card. At lunch my boss took my co-workers and I out for a birthday luncheon.
When I got home my best friend in Colorado had sent me a flower arrangment too.
Tonight the hubby planned a little birthday for me. Heck, he even decorated. My best buddy here baked me a super delicious birthday cake and got me this sweet wired angel for my garden. She added a cute and appropriate sign to her hand!
Hubby got me clothes, sneakers, and a beautiful gold necklace! Wow, how could I be anything but happy!!!!
And what party is complete without some good ole Puggy fun!

Wow, it looks like it was a great birthday! Look at all those cards!!!! My favs? The 3 pugs drinking at the bar and of course, that handsome fawn pug pictured on that card in the front left of the table...
It was a great birthday! I was showing everyone all the Pug cards I got and then told them I had even gotten a card from a blog friend and that was her Pug on the card! hahaha I really need to think of a way to display all these cards FOREVER!!!!
OMG The screened in cot from the Life Part is yours? I was admiring that thing. Its very very nice.
I'm glad you had such a good day. I love all the things you got and all the cards!!! I love that cake! I can smell it all the down here. Rosie is so cute sitting in your lap blowing out the candles.
See turning 50 wasn't all that Bad was it...Glad you had a great day. I thought of you. I want your White Lilac bush! I miss mine so much.
What a blessed woman you are--so many people who care for you and wish you happiness on your birthday! I hope it wasn't as traumatic as you had anticipated. Sounds like it was a lovely day. Daisy is excited to know you guys have the same birthday!
Yeah, Pugley, one of our puggy friends bought that for us! Our daddy says it's another thing to pack up all the time! HAHA
That is actually Zoey on my lap in the cake pic. Since she is middle child, she gets some special time with mama.
Leah, nah, 50 wasn't that traumatic. I never cared about numbers before, but since my mama died at 61, I am very concious of them now! I know it's only a number after all! Besides one of my grannies lived to 96 and the other 88! I think it's cool too that Daisy and I share our birthdays!
Happy 50th Birthday! Looks like you had a great time and got a bunch of cool stuff.
Nice lilac bush. I'd water it for you if I was there.
