children's tea set...does anyone see a small child in this house?
tv remote to a tv that we no longer have...hmmmmm
cat plaque that P knocked down the stairs last night
piano music box...another family piece that has seen better days
beads, ribbon, wallet, papers, photos, hockey card, vase, and on and on!
this is so much worse than a junk drawer......

Ummm...I'm thinking "garage sale"! My MIL gave me a chocolate set. I never had heard of one before until she gave me that. Interesting...I wish it were made out of chocolate instead of porcelain.
I do the same thing!! When I am REALLY cleaning, and not just hiding junk, I always end up making a huge mess. But the end result is worth it!!
Our momma does the furry same thing only alla' the odds an' ends make an aPURRance on the kitchen table an' then she just takes a big sigh an' wonders why she doesn't stop doin' that☺
That is so funny, sounds like my grandmother's dining room hutch except throw in some ancient silverware and alot of cloth and yarn scraps and maybe a few tubes of oil paint, half broken figurines she is in the process of fixing etc etc.. lol
I am trying to keep that kind of clutter down to a minimum so now i have baskets and containers of random stuff. :)
Yeah, that happens when I clean, too. Other things get moved and get piled up somewhere and then I think 'why do I have all this stuff???' Clutter, we's loves it!
yeah, when i 'clean' it's ususally like rearranging deck chairs on the titanic! i need to 'purge' NOT 'clean'...but that would involove a dumpster rental ;-)
maybe you could have an estate sale, lol.
It really makes me feel right at home! I wish that I could purge, but I always think that I might need that one item...someday!

A chocolate set, hmm I am intrigued. My grandmother gave me a hot chocolate set she painted years ago wonder if it is similar. Now, don't throw out the tea set as someday you might have some wee ones wanting to have tea with Grammy;)
