I may or may not be feeling a little bit like this painting today!!!!
Heard strange metal noise in house before work. Ran up and down stairs 5 times, turned off heat, rain to basement, ran back up - THEN discovered the storm window was open and the noise was OUTSIDE.
Next went into garage to leave for work. Had telephone charger cord in my hand instead of car keys. Too bad for me the house keys are on same ring as car keys.
Called dad for help. Got lecture (yes at my age!) about having a spare key. Opened house, got keys and discovered that when my darling husband took my car last night the NEED GAS light had come on in the car. Headed to gas station for gas and actually made it to work in one piece.
Mid morning had a sneezing fit and gave myself a bloody nose. Worked through lunch.
You see how my day is going??????????????????????
On a happy note the above print is available on an auction that is going on RIGHT NOW!!! If your on facebook - check out the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue Auction!!!! (Just ask to join and someone will add you right away) Lots of wonderful items to bid on to raise $$ for our favorite thing: PUGS!!!!
Me? I'm heading home to drive myself totally off the edge....P is getting his first smart phone. Need I say more?

Thankful November - Day 21
Today I give thanks for rescue. For those that rescue, foster, transport, donate, fundraise, love, cry, and laugh for these little guys. On November 5, 2006 I adopted my first rescue Pug. Things have really changed in the 6 years since then. When I worried about number four now there are five and six. A belated Happy Gotcha Day to my man Marty and the post when I first announced him into our home on this blog:
Okay, let's talk about Marty to clarify his existence! First, yes, Marty is indeed Carlos. He is 7 1/2 years young. Although we know very little about his previous life, we do know he was with his last family for only 5 months. He is the Pug that I rescued and delivered to CNY Pug Rescue, the whole 184 mile journey thing. After I dropped him to them, I kept in contact with them about his placement. All the homes that had wanted an older male Pug were not interested in him. The second week he was there, a woman was going to adopt him, but she changed her mind the day before he was to go with her, so........ it was decided that he should come and live with us. I know weak moment, crazy in the head, the whole nine yards. Yes, four Pugs is a lot, but he deserves a forever home. He has adapted very well to living with us and the girls have adapted to him quite well too. There are the crazy moments, but that was true even before he arrived. He sleeps in a porta-crib in my bedroom at night and the girls get in the bed and everyone is just fine with that. He seems to be getting a little less clingy with me. Before, everytime I left the room he would sit by that door I went through and cry. Now I think he realizes that I will indeed be back. We've learned a few things about him in the past 2 1/2 weeks he has been with us.... he is wonderful with potty outside, he does NOT mark in the house, he runs in from potty like the devil is after him for a treat, he snores horrible, when he coughs he sounds like a human, he had bad breath, hates garbage trucks, and loves to play crazy with Rosie. He is home

Thankful November - Day 15
Today I give thanks for blogging! I TOTALLY missed my blogoversary with all the wedding excitement and now the new human baby coming to our family! November 3rd marked SEVEN years of blogging for me! So many posts and so many friends. FB has taken away many of those that regularly blogged and I sure do miss the days when I'd sit down late at night and read about what was going on with everyone. FB just doesn't feel the same! So today I am thankful for finding blogging and not being afraid to reach out!!! Keep blogging!!!!

Thankful November - Day 14
Today I give thanks to my dad. He taught me that less is more. To fix something before buying new or throwing out. To give rather than receive. To wake up singing and tell bad jokes! To love cookies and to work hard! My dad will be 78 and still works at his own business. Thanks Dad!

Thankful November - Day 12 - CHLOE TURNS 10!!!!
Today our babygirl Chloe turns 10!!! So hard to believe how fast these 10 years have gone! So very thankful that her birth on November 12th changed this sad day for me. A sad anniversary for this same date is the passing of my mom in 2000. Chloe helped make the day something much better. She opened our world to new friends, new travels, MORE Pugs, and much laughter. So Happy Happy Birthday to our furry babygirl....Chloe!

Thankful November - Day 6
Today I am thankful for the freedoms that living in the US gives me. Today's freedom being the right to vote and choose those that should lead....it has become cloudy, but still a right nonetheless....

30 days of Thanks
Several years ago for November I did 30 days of Thanks here on the blog. In light of all the sadness and despair happening around the world, and to combat negativity I decided to re-visit that theme both here and on Facebook. I love all those that are taking the idea to their own pages and finding something to be thankful for. Let's hope we all continue to reach inside and find a daily thing, no matter how big or small, silly or serious....30 days of Thanks!
Today I am thankful for a roof over my head!
