Monday, Monday
Got a telephone call today from my good friend. Our neighbor at our new camp actually used to drive a truck for her company. He called to tell her that there were high winds on Saturday and that our gas grill blew off our deck and the propane tank and hose got twisted. He unhooked the tank, set it up next to the trailer and put cement blocks on the legs! He also wanted her to tell us we had left the living room ceiling vent (hatch) open and that it had been raining. I reported the bad news to P and we decided to take a drive up after work. We threw a few things in the car that need to eventually be there and off we went. It only took 45 minutes to get there! Phew! Once there we saw the grill was secured nicely and when we went inside found that the living room rug was only slightly damp! Thank goodness. We measured the deck for another section P is making, put the items away, and jumped back in the car for the trip home. We stopped to grab a bite to eat on the way home and all in all were only gone 2 1/2 hours! When we go up this weekend we will be leaving a key with the owners to keep for those kinds of emergencies!
