Unique gift...I am NOT sharing

A friend gave me this cute dog toy and magnet that was designed with a photo from her BT. You've all seen what damage Kiki can do to toys. I am NOT sharing.

Marty's Checkup

As many of you have read in my previous posts Marty H-A-T-E-S the vet. Nothing personal to the vet...the place, the experience..yada yada yada. We avoid going at all costs and at his last visit the vet suggested perhaps we could find someone who did home visits for him....sigh.
Anyhow last week we got a card in the mail that said Marty was overdue for his shots? WHAT???? I couldn't believe it. Now it was only by a week, but still! I scolded myself and decided to give taking him in another shot. P was suppossed to meet me, but then had to work over. Drat. So I had to rush home, get him in the car and over to the vet. When we walked in the door he had second thoughts. I pushed him in and he got on the scale. Next stop, the exam room where he hide under the corner seat. Then in comes vet and tech and up on table he goes. Checked his ears, eyes, heart....well he made a lot of noise for that part. Then they tried to look at his teeth. Not going to happen. Now comes the shots. I say..he hates being restrained...let's loosen the hold and see what happens...and one shot, two shots. Phew. THEN the vet wanted to do bloodwork for heartworm and a Senior panel. AND IT WORKED.
I tell you he PRANCED out of there!
They called back last night and said the panel came back perfect! Yeah!

Secret Santa Exchange

I was part of a Secret Santa Exchange that AM orchestrated. I got a couple of emails asking me if my gift had,,, nothing.....

Then yesterday I went outside and saw footprints in the snow heading to our back garage door. This is NOT a door we EVER use and it is the BACK...notice the word BACK of the garage....

There was my package, sitting in the snow. Grrrrrrr. Looks like I'll be making yet another trip to the PO to complain about our delivery person. This is not the first time a package has been left somewhere ridiculous, or out in the snow, or the rain, or left without a signature when there was a paper on top saying CUSTOMER MUST SIGN FOR PACKAGE.

Okay, okay, enough of my complaining! On to the exchange...

My Secret Santa was M aka Shopper Girl! I actually met M a few year's ago when I went to Bloggy Meetup in Raleigh.
I dug right into these.....
The work of art is actually done by a dog named Carson! Isn't that cool?

and then took myself off for a shower with the Vanilla Bean Shower Gel.....I kept wondering who smelled like Vanilla all night! It was me!!!!

Thanks M!!!!

Meet Baxter....

A chip-in has been started to help Green Mountain Pug Rescue with his vet needs. Please consider visiting Meet Baxter a sweet little 3 year old Pug found wandering the streets. Who knows what life he led before, but he has a bright future! Baxter is just a wonderful little guy. Super friendly and despite obvious skin happy! He loves to just be held and will fall asleep in your arms and stay there as long as you'll let him! You can NOT help but fall in love with this little guy!!!! Help GMPR help Baxter, get him well and find him the loving home he SO deserves!

Baxter came from a kill shelter in Ohio. He was our overnight guest at Hotel Punchy. Despite his tattered exterior Baxter has a heart of gold. So loving, so happy, so trusting. These situations just break your heart. Kudos to all the loving people who rescue, transport, foster, donate, and do whatever they can to make the world a better place for these little guys.
It was like having a little baby! He was happy to snuggle all night long.

Kiki meets Santa

Kiki told Santa she has been a very good girl and wanted treats and toys for Christmas. Santa gave her a little bag with a cute little purple ball in it.....She tried to eat the ball..... Not sure there is enough time for her to work on being good before Christmas!

December is looking up aka Countdown to Christmas

Dad is all settled in.
The car was totaled, but a settlement has been reached.
We have a tenant!!!!

Saturday morning we have our annual Pug Meetup Christmas Pawty and Saturday night is our office party. If that doesn't get the Christmas Spirit moving...well, I just don't know what will!

I am still trying to ge things listed on my Etsy site (see sidebar and click or visit and will continue to do shameless self-promoting here on my blog! I am told I need to promote myself more. Hope I'm not sending you all running!

Pjs....I have many different Winter and Holiday flannels to keep your little one warm and adorable. These are one piece and are open underneath for easy potty breaks!
Here is Salinger modeling the custom ones I made for him last year. He still hates me.

My shirt & tie sets. My own design that I have been doing for a few years. Still one of my favorites. A "man" for all seasons!

These sneakers are actually up on my site. I do have several sizes and can customize the color of the flowers in either fawn or black.I just had to show this happy cat customer in one of my bowtie/cuff sets!
James Dean is showing off one of my tie collars..isn't her handsome? In between the crazies I painted up a bunch of glass balls, which are also up on my site.....

You can also look under my "sold" items in my shop to get ideas of stuff I've done.
Thanks for putting up with me!

No more Punchymobile?

Got a distress call from P this morning. He was in a car accident on the expressway on the way to work. He called me from the center lane, sitting in the car, hooked on the trailor hitch of the truck in front of him. Have to love those cell phones??? He said he was okay, thankfully and needed me to come get him and take him to work. That's my guy, worried about getting to work.

They couldn't get out of their vehicles until the police arrived and could guide them off the road. Actually the guy he hit "towed" him off hooked to his truck! The "Help" truck that monitors the expressways helped them get the two vehicles apart so the other person could continue on his way in his "undamaged" vehicle. When I first saw it I thought, wow, that looks okay....okay until I looked into the hole. The radiator is smashed into the engine, so we are not sure of the actual internal damage. The insurance company says it will most likely be totaled due to age and mileage. I bought this car off the showroom floor 11 years ago, it doesn't owe me a dime. It just seems like such a waste..... So if anyone is keeping track in the last few months we have had:

broken washer
broken dryer
mushroom eatting Kiki incident
broken fridge
virus infected computer
tenant who left like a thief in the night AND trashed fridge and stove
broken car

but heh, I still have my sense of humor and my faith...I'm hanging on to those for all I'm worth!

Spay day and early Thanksgiving....

I dropped that crazy little girl off at the vet's this morning for her spay. She was NOT happy about it. Not happy about no breakfast, not happy about no treat and especially not happy that mom handed her off to Amanda and left....
I'll continue to hold my breath this morning to hear she is okay....
Sunday my dad and the rest of his stuff arrived. Both of the kids were not going to be able to go to my sister's on Thanksgiving, so we decided to celebrate with our own dinner on Sunday. It worked out perfect. Dad seemed pretty happy and we all had a good time. My dad is actually VERY easy to live with. He demands little and has a good sense of humor. I am lucky to still have my dad and giving up my office for him is little to pay. Heck, he even likes the Pugs!
After dinner P and R headed in to watch a little tv. Kiki always ready to sit in a lap was happy to join them.
