Asking too much of God....?????

Sad news on the weekend...our friend with Pancreatic Cancer could not have his tumor removed. It was supposedly small - but ended up being a huge mass that emcombassed 90% of his intestines! Luckily the cancer has not spread, but is contained in this huge mass. He will now require radiation and chemo....I pray for him.

Secondly, a Pug friend....a wonderful woman who heads up a rescue group has found out that her previous cancer - has spread to her bones. She originally was given three years to live, but now is in a wheel chair. This woman's discussion about dying was consumed with Pug rescue.....I pray for her and her family.

Lastly, my dad's face seems to be healing nicely.....I pray his has not spread.

Is this asking too much of God. I hate when I analyze my prayers...should I reword this, should I pray for this. I am sure God knows my true heart and hears all my crazy prayer thoughts. So God, I pray for the sick, let them be healed and if it is your will they are not healed...I pray for strength for their families and strength for myself to be someone people can continue to turn to for strength.

So sorry to hear your sad news. Too close to home for me. I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer this past August. A website/chat that I found very useful is:

My prayers go out to all your friends who need that little extra 'hand'.

The Woman told me to tell you that it is never too much to ask anything of God. He's our right hand, our Creator, and he wants to be the one we lean on for ALL our needs. She says she'll add all these people to her prayer list. I send you cyberhugs in this difficult time. x o x o x o

My father died of pancreatic cancer 10 1/2 years ago. Our friends lost there mother to it this past August. I have several other family members fighting cancer. I just pray they all accept Christ and live as he would have us to live. It's hard because I don't understand it but I trust God.
