Easter Weekend

Having an extra day off on the weekend is always great! I'd LOVE to have a 4 day work week - every week!!

During the Winter I found a set of four of these along the roadside. I actually saw them on the way to drop something off to a friend. I said to myself, "I should get those", but it was raining and I thought, I'll stop and get them if they're still there on my way home. They were, but I thought, if I bring one more thing home P will shoot me! So I started I passed them up and made my way home...thinking...those would be perfect for camp...I could paint...new seats. So, half way home I turned around, drove back and they were still there! I loaded them into the back of my vw and headed home. I happily showed P and he said...okay, right.

First, I was sent to the netherlands of our yard. I am NOT a neat painter, especially with spray paint!

After painting them all up I put them inside the porch to dry. Meantime we took the seats off the bases and P removed the staples and the ugly vinyl fabric. The foam was still in great shape and since they are going to be used on porch at camp, I thought it would do just fine.

The process.

I think the end result looks great!

I also got an order done for matching Spring dresses.
On Easter we were going to go to dinner at Asian Buffet with my dad and A. She asked us to get to her house by 1 to drive together. When we got there we were surprised to see she had made us an Easter dinner! We had a great dinner and watched the Masters on tv. We got home at 7:30pm and I had a nice bath and read, then off to bed.
A pretty full weekend!

Those Spring dresses are freaking adorable!!! And great job with the chairs. I'm about to do a side of the road piece of furniture make over project myself!

George - mom better now even think about putting one of these on me!!!

Wow! The stools look great and they are so much sweeter due to the "side of the road" story!

My husband would croak if I came home with something I found along the road...but he is not a visionary!
You did a great job on those chairs.

When are you going to come up with a pattern, so that I can make dresses and ties for your etsy store?

Great job!! I've got a couple of chairs that I need to cover. One in particular is a vintage chair and I really don't know how to do this.

Someday! I'll get some decent fab and tackle that job.
