RIP Mimi LaRue Fashion Pug Diva & a "give-away" in her honor...

Fashion Pug Diva Mimi LaRue passed away June 18, 2008. Mimi LaRue was a frequent sight in her trademark pink dresses, both on the red carpet as well as on Spelling's reality shows. Because fashion is a big thing in our Puggy family, I have decided to host a "give-away" in Mimi's honor. Post a comment telling me why your Pug should be on the red carpet and your name will be entered in a drawing for a custom designed dress for your Pug made by me! The drawing will be held Sunday June 22 at 8pm.

RIP Mimi.....

Daisy and Oscar should definitely be on the red carpet! With Oscar's dashingly handsome face and Daisy's bubbly personality, they are a force to be reckoned with!

Clementine should be on the red carpet - she is the true comeback pug! Having come from a shelter where she had mange so bad that she had NO hair she has made an amazing turn around. Now she flaunts her flair and fashion whenever possible. She has so much more confidence now than when we got her. She is just now realizing how fabulous and fierce she really is. Of course, we knew it all along...

Pyrite is definitely red carpet material! She started her career as a flower puggy but has since outgrown her tutu:( A new dress would be so dashing on her and she could show it off here in Nevada! Maybe she could headline at one of the casinos in Las Vegas!!

I should be on the red carpet because of my striking good looks and my full-figured curves!

Sophie should be on the red carpet because she represents an au-natural pug-woman!!! Many other pugs would get plastic surgery at the dog-tor because of their saggy boobies, but Sophie embraces it! She is proud that she had so many little babies and raised them well even though she was in horrible conditions. Six months ago, she was underweight and sick, but now she is vital and vibrant and oh-so-saucy!

I am definitely your red carpet material. First, my shiny black fur will contrast nicely with the red carpet. Second, I have a presence second to none. Third, I really need to show that I am feminine under all my "evil deeds". A dress by you would show that off to perfection. So therefore, I, Roxy, The Devil Dog, should be your winner.

I think I am red carpet material, as I am delicate and lovely, sweet and angelic. I have no "bad girl attitude" but will represent pugs everywhere with grace and dignity. As for my back story, I was left in a four foot pen for the first four and a half months of my life, with no human or animal socialization. I too, had mange and have come a long way from the lonely little dog I used to be.

Oh, that poor little darling. She probably did lead a good life but I bet she didn't get to lay around on the couch with her mom too much.

Let's see if Emma Lee can walk the red carpet in one of Punchy's fashions!

although i don't have a pug to tout for the red carpet treatment and one of your awesome puggie ensembles i do wish to say that ALL pugs deserve to be on the red carpet...they are all superstars.

i feel for tori and her entire family, losing a pet is so hard. she loved that girlie and i'm sure she is heartbroken.

That is so sweet of you. I'm not going to enter this contest though, because I don't look good in dresses. I have knobby knees.

I think my girl Nina deserves to win a dress for the red carpet. She was surrendered to Pug Rescue in 2004, she had a liver shunt and bilateral corneal ulcers. Her parents could not afford the costs of the surgeries needed. When I first saw her she was so pitiful. Almost lifeless because her liver was not working properly and unable to see because of her eye ulcers. After several surgeries and years later she has turned into the happiest & healthiest pug ever. She is so happy to get up each day, as if she knows about the gift of life that was given to her.

Aw, what a great idea! Sela is definitely red carpet material because of her playful personality and fabulous strut. She knows how to work a room like a little puggie pro and makes everyone she meets fall in love with her. Hope she wins! A girl can never have too many dresses!

Poor Mimi Larue!

Indy would look faboulous in custom hand made Pug Possessed Huate Couture fashion! With her petite frame and delicate build, she would be able to show off any style of dress wonderflly. Unfortunately Indy has never had a real dress before so the chance would be fabulous!

Gus unfortunately would make an ugly woman. :)

We were sad to read of Mimi's passing. I wish I could be a red-carpet pug! People tell me that I have a pretty cute face, and I am pretty popular with the general public (like all pugs!)
Love Clover xo
P.S. My mom keeps forgetting to measure me!!
