Mother's Day

In Rochester we are lucky to have the "Lilac*Festival" coincide with Mother's Day. Our son lives right across from the park, so today after meeting for breakfast we walked over. First stop was an area on one corner with tulip beds. There were every color tulip. Tulips happen to be C's favorite flower. The ones in this picture are double and almost look like roses. Bailey also joined the outing. R takes her everywhere and she did very well with the crowds and other dogs.
This was a tree trunk that has been carved into a resting spot near the Conservatory.
This is the Pansey bed. Can you imagine planting all those pansies?
P caught C and I from across the way....
With all the hundreds of lilac bushes it's funny P and I had a pic by this short one!

Some of my favorites.....

A really nice Mother's Day......

Wow, looks like a wonderful day for you! Those flowers are so pretty. I can only imagine what it smells like there. Your hard winters sure make pretty springs and summers for flowers and and plants.

Lilacs are my absolute favorite. I LOVE the smell of them. It's sad they bloom for such a short period of time though.

Beautiful pictures! I love lilacs. We are having our annual tulip festival here in Ottawa right now. I should try to get out there and take some pictures for you to see!

Oh, wow, you have some beautiful pics! We didn't make to the other side of the festival last weekend - it was just too busy. We didn't see those pansies...but we're planning on going to tonight if it doesn't rain and I'm going to go check those out!
