Ice, Ice, baby

The views out my window this morning.....

I went to my friend's to scrapbook after work last night. P was worried as they were calling for an ice storm. We kept checking out the window, but didn't see much going on. When I went to leave my entire car was encased in ice. It took 15 minutes for the two of us to get the windows 90% cleaned off. The drive home was scary too! I didn't go more that 25mph the whole way. I was very happy to pull into the garage.

My friend had her downstairs remodeled. She has a kitchen area, sleeping area, bathroom, tv area and a HUGE beautiful scrapbooking area. I told her I'm moving in down there!

This morning I helped C get the ice off her car. It took the two of us 1/2 hour. I ended up getting warm water in a pan to free up the windshield wipers. I think I prefer snow.

Tonight it's going to be a book and bed......

You are good! I just let my car run for an hour to loosen up the ice....but I had all I could do to get the door open...it was frozen shut! then I had to go to the GAs station to refill my tank in the sleet and freeezing rain that was fun ( eyeroll)) Thats what I get for not parking in the garage~

Lucky for us it was just rain, rain, rain. Then the sun came out. We had an ice storm like that right before PlusOne was born. Memere and Pepere had to live with mom and dad for almost a whole week as they had no power in their house. Ice is terrible. Mom agrees with you about rather having snow.

i have a nice 'new' fluffy bed and our temps are in the 60's and 70's...if you don't mind the tornado potential you can drive that bug right on down here.

These pictures from up north are just blowing my mind. I took Winston for a walk around the neighborhood in short sleeves yesterday! (Don't throw anything at me!) It's just amazing what the temperature and weather difference can be...

Glad you made it home safely! We missed the latest storm but got hit on the weekend-- the driveway and cul de sac are skating rinks... Pyrite can actually pull the stroller and I along on the ice! A scrapbooking room sounds divine!

Cheers

Dang! Ice storms! Living here in SoCal I didn't know what that meant for a long time. I mean how does it happen? Does the ice come down from the sky? Would that be sleat? Freezing rain?

I saw a documentary about a deadly ice storm in Canada I think. I could not believe it. It's amazing what we humans can endure if we have to.

You need to come on down here with me and Sandy then you won't have to worry about all that ice and snow.
