Things are a little upside down in our parts lately. 2 co-workers are leaving, which means trying to fill spots and retrain. Our tenant gave notice she is breaking her lease with 7 months of the term left. Grrrr. Also sadly our cat is failing quickly and I am doubtful he will make the morning......sigh....
So, in honor of Halloween and happier days.... a few our our favorite fun pics from the past......

Queen of the Sock Monkey Bed
The gang has been pretty jealous of all the other dogs out there enjoying their Sock Monkey Beds! I looked around locally, but they never seemed to be in stock. Then last week Yoda & Brutus' mom sent me a note saying she had found some and would be happy to purchase one and ship to us!
When it first popped out of the box it was a flurry of sniffing......and then Chloe pushed everyone out of the way and parked herself in it.When she wasn't looking Marty tried it out....and then Kiki took a turn.....

A surprise!
I was excited to get a personal package delivered to me at work! Seeing that North Carolina return address let me know exactly who had sent it! Girlville! I met Girlville on my first bloggy meetup adventure to Charlotte, NC. We got together again the following year in Raleigh, NC and then last year in Williamsburg, VA. One event was consistent through all these trips....a sidetrip to *trader*joes* C and I love tjs! We are envious of all those towns and cities that have one and Girlville knows of our love of it! Surprise!!!! She said the display had our name on it!By the way....here is one of my buntings made by Girlville! Stop over and visit her blog and her Etsy shop! She has lots of craft ideas and she can cook too!!!!

Pugstock 2010
A little behind in this post! Our group held Pugstock 2010 last Sunday. It was Peace, Love & Pugs! I am VERY busy at this event, so a few of my BT Cruisers Buddies (Boston Lovers!) came to watch Kiki. Rosie and Chloe also went along, but Zoey and Marty with their affirmaties, stayed home. Our event photographer took these pics....
P and Kiki....wow, she never leaves her ears down...she looks very different!Telling dad a secret....My win! I put all my tickets in on this doorstop and was very excited to win it! Hopefully we'll get the rest of the pictures up on the group website this week! Stay tuned.

Kiki don't eat the mushrooms....
This morning didn't start out so good.....
6 a.m. - Miss Kiki ate a mushroom when we went outside for potty. It was raining and dark and I actually said out loud to her "you better eat anything I can't see".....premonition? We went inside and within half an hour things went from....upset tummy to HORRIBLE. There was so much, I couldn't clean it up fast enough. In the midst of my "don't panic" I looked through the vomit and found an entire mushroom! I was pretty upset on the phone with emergency vet clinic, as I described the events and they tried to tell me their "procedures and costs"...look lady, talk to me later, I'm getting into my car. The clinic is across the city. 20 minutes with no traffic. Here I was in morning traffic, with a sick, shaking puppy in my lap. I should cyber apologize to all the other drivers I cut-off or swore at this morning. By the time we got to the hospital I wasn't looking very good. Don't think I smelled so good either, but thankfully my own sense of smell is bad! They did some blood work, gave her a shot to control vomitting and told me my choices were leaving her there for the day or monitoring her at home. Since my vet is less than 5 minutes from my house, I picked home. She is now resting comfortably with the rest of the furry ones.
I need a nap.

Etsy Halloween Special
I have made quite a few Halloween dresses this year that I took to my Fall shows. I usually keep an inventory of each holiday, but decided to go ahead and list the remaining 3 I have on Etsy and offer up shipping for $1.00 this week only. If you know of anyone looking for a "costume" idea let them know. I'll be shipping Priority Mail, so most locations only take 2 days.
Have a great day everyone!

Little Lady Long Legs

head, shoulders, knees and toes....knees and toes...
Sometimes Zoey limps when getting up from sleeping. She also pulled a nail a couple of weeks ago and it has grown out weird. Yesterday P noticed thought he noticed a lump on the outside of her foot next to the bad toe. Then last night I caught her actually hopping on three legs...avoiding the one with the bad toe. I checked her out this morning and really didn't notice a lump, but called the vet for an appointment. He managed to get us the last appointment of the day, but I was not home, so P took her in. Seems the vet is not concerned about her toe, he is concerned with her knee. He doesn't want to put her through x-rays, etc. at this point, but wants us to watch her and gave us fish oil to add to her daily diet. She already has glucosimine in her food, but I am calling back tomarrow to see if she should/could have a supplement of it too...or if it would even help. I think she could stand to loose a little weight too. Anyhow..bad enough the poor thing has knee and toe issues, but P brings her home from vet, brings her in the house and in the midst of their arrival, a mention of treats and all the excitement Chloe bites her! What??? I couldn't believe it! C called me and said there was chaos, blood and scolding. They managed to get the bleeding stopped fairly easily and everyone was already in bed when I got home. I probably will worry all night until I can assess the situation for myself in the morning.
She really is a little spitfire and is small, the smallest of all the group. She is sort of my special bond Pug.....love them all, but someting about her. She had a rough start to her life with her mama dying when she was only 2 weeks old. My little peanut!
Anyhow, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. We'd like to avoid surgery, but if that's what it takes, we'll do what needs to be done.

Back Home - Pugopoloy Edition
We grabbed a few hours sleep on Monday morning and got dressed and headed out to show J Charlie, C's dog. We had a short visit there and then C drove us all over our area to show J downtown, my work, stores, and restaurants. C had to go on to work, so J and I headed off to do some local shopping. First stop was *kMArt*. Norman's Woman had posted about finding some adorable Pug Pjs there...well there in North Carolina. We were anxious to find them...very anxious...and we did! After that purchase I took her to *sTarBUcks*COloRmeMIne*JOanNEfAbriCs*TaRGeT*&wEgMAns*...we were exhausted!!!! We got back to our house and made dinner and then changed into our new Pjs....here is the scene that greeted C when she got home.....she just shook her head and laughed at us. We made some coffee and broke open the game we purchased from KPR.
Since KiKi is a KPR puppy we let her join in on the fun.
On Tuesday we decided to hang out at our house and relax before J had to leave that afternoon. She organized her suitcases to accomodate her shopping and we loaded everything in the car and set off to a late lunch. From lunch I sadly took her to the bus station....

and on the third day......
Sunday morning we got up and met Anakin's mama in the lobby for some coffee and for J to get her copy of Mister & The Grey Whisker. After chatting for a bit, we loaded up the car and headed out. Now you all might be thinking we headed home, right???? NOT SO! We were planning to make a whole weekend out of the trip, so we headed back to downtown Indy. We located a parking space easily and headed out walking.
Seriously? A restaurant called Weber Grill???? See C up ahead, that girl had her mind on shopping!I on the other hand was admiring the great buildings...and the fact the sun was shining!
The blend of old and new was breathtaking...
After some shopping (where J and I both bought new sneakers and promptly disposed of our old ones in the trash) and a quick bite to eat, we headed back out. We stopped by the memorial, the center? Sorry I should have googled the name? I knew Kelly had her glorious wedding photos taken here and I wanted to see it. J and C let me take their pic to show how big this place is.
We headed inside and saw an elevator. What? We can go to the top???? Your kidding! Now, I'm not too keen on heights, or small elevators, and we saw they were chargins $2 a person to ride the elevator. I believe my words at this point were...."come on ladies, it's only 150 steps...how bad can it be? Why would we need an elevator???" So up we started. We went up and up and up and up and up and up....somewhere around 175 steps my cell phone rang. Now you DO recall I thought the walk was 150 steps? Not so my friends! I think the final step count is 331? I'd have to google that too, although I think C took a picture of that top step, did you C? I tried to talk to P and continue climbing. I could hear C crabbing about me up ahead...how she would have gladly paid $2, blah, blah, blah. Then I reach those darn look out windows and see this...

For the love of Pugs...how the heck high am I???? At that point I decided 1) I could not continue talking on the phone and 2) I could not move another step.....
I had a good talk with myself and went up another 28 steps. Yes, I actually counted the darn steps. I reached the level where the elevator stops and I stopped and waited for C and J to come down. They told me no need for me to go all the way up. They took lots of photos up there. Which I refuse to look at until I can get the fear out of my head.
Traveling down was much easier, although everyone had rubbery legs and we were all wishing we had on bathing suits instead of sweaters and long pants.
That is a longgggggggggggggggg
That is a longgggggggggggggggg
longggggggggggggggg
longgggggggggggggg way to the top....
We walked around a bit more, stopped in some shops and admired the area.
Then we got back into the car and headed out to meet Annie of KPR for dinner! On the way I tried to get a photo of the race track for my husband....
I didn't do so well! We had a great time with Annie and wished we had more time to visit, but our time in Indy was coming to an end. It was now almost 7pm, so we really needed to get going. It started raining somewhere in Ohio or maybe we were still in Indiana, but it rained for almost the entire state of Ohio. You people that live in Ohio. Sorry, but I hate driving through Ohio. Is there a blogger out there that I can visit to see if I can learn to like Ohio? Are there Pugs in Ohio? If there aren't Pugs, I'm not visiting!

Anyhow, C drove most of the way home. I amused myself in the back seat and tried to take pictures of passing scenery...like that HUGE candle place.....nearly dropped my camera on that one!
We made our stop at Sheetz (J's fav stop) and headed back on the road. We got in about 3:30a.m. Wow, what a whirlwind! The girl's headed to bed and I waited up to greet P and my furry fivesome! After our hello's I headed up to bed for a few hours.
Stay tuned for Monday with J.

Indy Day Two.....what a day!
Saturday morning C, J, and I headed to downtown Indy. It was raining cats and dogs....and I assure you none were Pugs.....you know the whole wet feet and Pug thing! Anyhow, apparently there was a big event downtown with football...a parade, floats, bands and LOTS OF PEOPLE. We had to park away from the center area and walked...in the rain....and walked.....and walked...and crabbed...oh, that was me crabbing. Anyhow, I stopped and bought an umbrella (since P took the THREE umbrellas out of my car before I left) and we did our best to look around and stay dry. We dragged back to the car and drove back to the hotel where I promptly did a face plant in the lobby. A COMPLETE face plant. The OMG did I break my ankle, arm, wrist, face type of fall. The poor desk clerk was ready to call the ambulance and I layed there and laughed and laughed at myself. I mean what does one do when one has made a complete fool of one's self???? Her "did you hurt anything" Me "my pride".....which all made C laugh even harder.
After that I dusted myself off and we got ready to drive to the meetup at the park.
C, Josie, J and I looking very happy!

Salinger showed me his raincoat. Doesn't he look thrilled to be with me? I think he realized I am the responsible person who made him those DARLING pajamasJamie, Izzy and I have some laughsas....sorry Sal!Jess, Katy, Jaime and I!Out of towners shot....
Kelly and I - remember her wedding not too long ago??
Heh, look at that little bug face! Oh, not you Kelly!!!! Sadly Kelly's Miss Pearl was not in attendance, so she borrowed the other Kelly's pug! The ground was wet and it was still raining, so we all stayed under the shelter. Here is Jess cheating on Lilo...
Apollo was very generous with his kisses and wet paws! Yep, wet paws...Salinger, Laura and Michelle smile despite the rain, well maybe Salinger is still not smiling?
I think maybe he and our Rosie could be twins...those always sad looking faces!
Cindy, Yoda and Brutus, this may have had something to do with wet feet?
After the meetup C, J and I headed to *Trader Joe's* We LOVE that place and whenever we travel find the nearest one to shop at. J REALLY loves it there, so we took her pic there for her to look at whenever she was hungry...
Here Vikki holds Jeff (Kiki's brother!) No Vikki you have enough dogs!!!! Jeff has to go home with his dad!
C was loving Jeff too. He was simply adorable and we were trying to figure out ways to smuggle him home. Look I think he was crying just thinking about having to leave Indy!

From there we headed to the Pug Posse Hacienda. What an awesome family! Sadly Daddy Pug Posse was still in the hospital (now home!) and they still insisted on hosting!
