Valentine Meetup

Today was the February Meetup for the downstate group my bf L runs. The furry ones and I drove the hour trip alone as P had much to do at home. They acted up the entire drive...Rosie whining, Chloe authority barking, Marty grumbling, and Zoey doing her little high pitched cry to get in the front seat. I turned the radio EXTRA LOUD, opened the passenger window for the panting Marty and turned the heat on my feet. What a ride! We were ALL happy to arrive at our destination!
One friend followed dress making instructions and turned out her own CUTE dress! She informed me she has now "crossed over" to the dark side....people who dress their dogs...lol
Zoey was exhausted...

A little boy befriended them with treats...

Remember Duncan? His first adoptive home did not work out. He just wasn't happy there and so a new home was found. He is thriving with his new mama.

On the drive home I wasn't paying much attention to cars driving next to me on the thruway. Twice I looked over and realized the passengers of the vehicles were smiling and laughing. I realized driving my vw beetle that those people in SUV's and higher riding vehicles could look right in the back of my car to see my four...lounging about and relaxing on the ride home! When we got to the toll booth I thought the woman next to be was going to jump from her vehicle and come over! These little puggies sure do bring smiles to people!

I can't get over, how well dressed your little puggies are.
Do you make your own patterns?

Your crew would sure make me smile, too. I love the dresses! You are so good to take them on that ride without any help! I've take all four with me in the past running from hurricanes by myself and it was hard to listen to them being so restless in the backseat. Thank goodness for the seat belts.

Oh my goodness your car ride up there sounded crazy.. We drove our pugs to North Carolina a few years ago. It was a 14 hour trip and after awhile the girls realized it wasn't one of those short trips we do around our home. I love the pictures and the outfits. I would have loved to see your fur babies riding next to me in your car.. :)

I love your girls in their dresses!! I especially love first action shot!

I love taking my pugs places, because someone always comments on them, because they do bring such smiles and joy to people. I can't imagine life without them!!!

Love the car story! It is so true that puggies make people happy. When we drive up to Canada and stop at the border, the guard will be asking us all these serious questions then they'll notice the girls in their crates and they'll turn all friendly!

You are easily the bravest most independent person I know. I dont think I could have handled an hour trip with 4 pugs!

Well, you KNOW I've crossed over to the "Dark Side". Lol! If it had been me at the toll booth, I probably would have come out to see your pugs....I'm pug obsessed like that!

That is very funny, about everyone watching you as you drive. Mom laughed when you said you turned the music up extra loud. That must have been a fun ride.
The dresses are great. We are glad Duncan has a rgeat home, now, and that you had lots of fun.
