Rock on....
Some have asked about this little "family" project. Well, it was so easy a dog could do it...sorry, bad joke! Anyhow, I just used regular craft paint and a found heart shaped beach rock. You could also use a round stone or even a piece of wood. The trick is not to have the dog stamp into the paint, but to paint the pad areas only them press onto the rock and life the foot straight off. Works better with 2 humans, unless your dog (or cat) is asleep. Once you have stamped, quickly wash the residual paint off the paw unless you want more little prints...everywhere. We did have to redo Zoey and Rosie's as their first attempt did not resemble a pawprint. I just washed off with wet paper towel, let it dry and re-did. I will clear coat with spray sealer this coming weekend. It can then be put outside if you'd like. I actually plan on leaving mine inside.

Flamingos live on in upstate New York....
I took my sewing machine to camp this weekend to do a little decorating of the screenroom.
P says I'm starting to make the place look like a gift shop.....
The rock on the bottom shelf was a little family project we did Sunday afternoon. We found a heart shaped rock and I painted it black. P held each Pug and I "painted" their front right foot and he "stamped" their pawprint on the rock. Marty has a deep dislike for ANYONE touching his foot, so I put paint on a paper plate and walked him over it and quickly stamped the rock. Afterwards I added each of their names and the year.
The front flowers are coming along pretty well. It's funny some people who stop by don't even notice the flamingos......

RIP Mimi LaRue Fashion Pug Diva & a "give-away" in her honor...
Fashion Pug Diva Mimi LaRue passed away June 18, 2008. Mimi LaRue was a frequent sight in her trademark pink dresses, both on the red carpet as well as on Spelling's reality shows. Because fashion is a big thing in our Puggy family, I have decided to host a "give-away" in Mimi's honor. Post a comment telling me why your Pug should be on the red carpet and your name will be entered in a drawing for a custom designed dress for your Pug made by me! The drawing will be held Sunday June 22 at 8pm.
RIP Mimi.....

Screenroom Progress
The screenroom is coming along. Here is the hardtop all up. This top will fold down over the entire expanse of the trailer in the Fall. This is the progress of the screens being put into place. Since we got this used, we have been doing some retro-fitting. I use the term "we" loosely as P has been working with friends and I have been the "supervisor"...they have actually fired me twice, but then I get hired back!
Screen door in place...I considered leaving the end open for dance recitals and puppet shows, but P said NO.
Getting the idea of being "screened" in....
Just a bit more to do. We changed the roofline pitch, so P has to construct new top pieces. P said he was making the pieces out of wood to paint white and then I can hang "junk" up there.

We let the puggies out here before we left. They ran around crazy! This will be nice additional space for us, plus now we can eat out there without invasion of BUGS.....
This weekend we will hopefully get the little stuff done so I can hang the blinds, etc.

Now that's a cup of coffee...
I met my BF for lunch yesterday and she gave me my birthday gift. We share a love of coffee and our nightly walk includes a 2 mile walk to coffee shop and back home.
Not sure this cup would be appropriate to carry.....
it's rather big....
really big.....
As you can guess it's really a planter. Now I have to figure out what I want to put in it.......

My neighbors
I had coffee with my neighbors at camp......they purr
These two both came from Siamese rescue, the third was hiding somewhere. The bottom one is a Lilac Point Siamese. He watches me out this window and he is SO tall and SO skinny. He look like a statue. They all spend a lot of time looking at the Pugs, the Pugs on the otherhand do not notice them...thank goodness.

Flamingo Pink?
Yesterday I took a trip to the **Christmas**Tree**Store**. I heard they had "pink" side tables to match my chairs at camp. While there I found a cute "chair" cocktail napkin holder, a couple of packages of Flamingo Cocktail Napkins and a silly metal Flamingo.....heck I only spent $12.00 of that birthday money I was hoarding. When I got home I found that Girlville had sent me a pixie stick for my birthday! She knows me well, doesn't she???? The hang tag is so adorable I'm not taking it off!
Yep, looks like a theme....
Here is a pic I took Sunday of the new hardtop for our screen room. The top is permanent. In the Fall the legs fold in and the top closes over the entire side of the trailer. I am not looking forward to helping P lower 32 feet of roof! The weather wasn't the most cooperative, so we only got the top done. The uprights are not in their right places yet, but we needed the stability. The front portion where my pink chairs are will not be screened in. I wanted to be able to sit on the deck "outside" too. The front garden is coming along. I put lattice skirting around the entire trailer while the guys worked on the roof.
Hmmm, maybe I should have gotten 2 tables.............
