I just couldn't do it.....

I was busy today after work getting ready for our trip. Our daughter lined up her friend to also check on Rosie and Marty in our absence. We figured between our son, my dad, and C's friend they would be fine.

As I was working around the kitchen I saw this.....

Then while I was at the grocery store our son called my cell to say that he had a truck to move his stuff home and he was doing that early Sunday morning. When I got home, I went to take the furry ones outside and only Marty and Rosie followed me out....and stared at me and made me feel VERY guilty. I am almost embarressed to say that I did indeed start crying. When I went back in the house P saw me and asked what was wrong and I told him I had "guilty mom" syndrome. Meanwhile C was holding Rosie out in the hall and she called in to P and said...can't Rosie come to the shore with us....P says look this is crazy let's just take all four. We took three last year, what the heck is one more??????

So..... the whole gang is going. Now I won't be fretting that no one is letting them outside, or they don't have water, or they are missing mama's big bed! Afterall, they are part of our family!!! Our son, well he'll just have to be home with Buster the cat!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! It's just a good thing that you are allowed to bring pets. I wish we could find a place that we wanted to go and we could have taken all four of ours! They just work on your heart, don't they? You are a good mama! I'm sure they would have been fine at home but you would not have stopped worrying about them and then you would have wanted to come home early from vacation! So it's probably best that you decided to take them.

I love that someone out there thinks like I do. I would have cried too and begged to bring the fur babies. Your husband is so understanding. I think I'll go spend some time with Mia now, I've missed her today.

Oh, I bet you did feel so bad. I sometimes toy with the idea of just taking one pug somewhere and leaving the other one at home, but I just can't ever bear to do it. They make the most pitiful faces!

LOL... you're not the only one :-(
I will have to separate from my furry kids soon too, in october. I'm dreading it 'cause it will be 4 days that i won't have my furry kids with me...

Pug pouts can rip your heart out. At least that's what Mommy tells me. She has cried many times when she's had to leave me. Last year, I flew to Tennessee with her and Daddy for Thanksgiving, and she sobbed when the security guards took me from her to board the plane! I was so embarrassed. ;)
