Fashionable Baby

Over the weekend our blogging friend Marcella sent us this HUGE box FULL of hair items for my granddaughter. We will never have to buy this little girl another hat, headband, bow, or hair decoration until she is 12!!!! She came over yesterday and I presented her mama with the box. Sadly she was sleeping....but....we did wake her. She consented to us trying out a few for photos!! Thank you Tia Marcella!!!

A tad sad

Most of you know that my mom passed away in 2000. My stepdad has had some health problems and is giving up their house. Yesterday, I stopped over there to meet my stepsister to get a few of my mom's remaining things. After all these years you would think it would be easier to go in there..... it's not. All that is left is some of the bigger furniture. It is sad in there....really sad. I feel like she has disappeared again.

Anyhow they gave me a box of some small items and when I opened it I found her drivers license, social security card and these key rings. Small pieces of a life that once was.

Miss Zoey turns 9

Hard to believe our little firecracker is turning 9 today! From her rough start of loosing her mama at 2 weeks old, that tiny little ball of fur charges through life. Fearless and feisty still. Happy Birthday Peanut Pie!!!

Puzzled

We took a break from sewing and crafting this week and after dinner a couple of night worked on a puzzle. All 1000 pieces. It was great to think in a different way.

1000 Pugs Sadness

Edited 2016 - It seems that people sometimes come across my post done "years ago" when searching 1000 Pugs.  Understand please that when I wrote this post things were different.  To slam me in your comments now is ridiculous.  I do not defend what this person did with this project.  We all were upset with the outcome and disappointed.  I can't hold on to the loss of the money or time I gave.  That anger would serve no purpose.  I am disappointed.  VERY.  Many of my friends never caught a look of their photos.  Many of my friends Pugs passed after the photo shoot and we would love nothing more than to see the "promise" of those photos.  The book...oh that book would have sold, no doubt.  It is all sad and disappointing, but my original post here below was from when things started going bad, not now.  We all didn't have answers then and I was remaining open-minded.  Now not so much.  Your negative comments towards me in all this, will be deleted.  Thanks.....

There seems to be a lot of bad press and ill feelings going on right now over the project.  I feel I need to say this here "out loud", well sort of out loud anyhow!!!  It is time for all this nasty business to stop. He said, she said, stuff taken out of context. I feel like I am involved in my kids lives back when Instant Messenger was the rage and people said things they would NEVER say to a person's face.

I participated in the project and my header is wonderful proof of it!  I participated because of my LOVE for Pugs and their humans.  I thought ALL Pug people were awesome.  I am finding it just isn't so.  I also participated in the kickstarter program. I am very happy with my photos and look forward to the book when it is ever available.  I wish the kickstarter stuff had gone as promised,  but I have honestly sort of written that off. My money is as hard earned as the next person. I understand people have problems EVERYONE has problems. EVERYONE has bills. I think because of all the negativity going around that perhaps it would be good if Daily Puglet changed her blog settings to no comments or reviewing the comments before they are posted. Let's all respect each other and remember why we are in all these groups! Let's not get INTO battles over battles that aren't ours!! Please don't hate on me next!!!

I am sorry for those unknowing bloggers who have NO clue what I am talking about.  But for those that do know..let's all move on!

Leashes

If your on face*book you know how much activity there is for Pugs in rescue needing help.  Seems more and more little ones can't get the treatment they need and their families have to end up giving them up.  Thankfully MANY great rescue groups and individuals step up and help out.  Recently we heard about Bentley a little Pug with seizures.  A face*book friend is hosting an emergency fundraiser for him through her 31 sales - especially leashes!  Here is the link to visit the fundraiser PAGE.

Last month during a different fundraiser for Molly we purchased 4 leashes.  We were super excited because in the Fall we had bought the gang new ComfortFlex Harnesses.  We've been utilizing their old leashes that didn't match!  Oh the shame!!!!  When we saw the ones available through 31 we saw that they would be a great match.

Here Kiki models her harness and new leash.  We think it's a win!!  The ComfortFlex was purchase online also at Yipeeee.  They had the lowest price on them and offered GREAT customer satisfaction!  I actually ordered wrong and had NO trouble changing up my order and getting things right!
