Lavender Festival

I found out about this wonderful festival through a local paper at camp. On Saturday a friend and I decided to go while the "men fished". Turns out it was less than a 10 minute drive! The shop here is open April to October, Thursday to Sunday. I have NO idea why I never knew about this place!!!! I know I have NEVER seen a field of Lavender.

There are all different kinds too, although I have to admit they looked the same to me. Other strange this was I could NOT smell it. My friend says she was knocked over by the smell.
They have a farm museum here too. Since we live in on what's left of my family's farm, it is always fun to see the items we have and the ones I recall from my childhood days.
I purchased some Lavender spray to help with Rosie's itching, some "ant spray" and a bar of "Poor Willie" dog soap. I love finding new things that are all natural! The festival itself had crafters, food, and speakers. They even had Lavender Ice Cream! I did stop a couple of young boys and ask how they liked it....not so much I guess.

I look forward to visiting the shop and farm again.

I LOVE lavender!! They grow it on the peninsula of WA, so stopped at a lavender farm there once and picked lavender! It was SO fun but SO many bees!!! You have to let me know if the spray helps Rosie's itching--Daisy itches terribly!!

Lavender is one of my favorite scents. I'm trying to grow it here, but it's probably just too wet here. There is a lavender festival is Texas that I went to once, loved it. Not a huge fan of lavender ice cream, but the tea was very soothing.
