A home again...

Last week we did some repairs at the rental house. I think I may have mentioned before that this is the house I was brought home to when I was born. In fact, that corner right there in the picture...my crib was there. This little house seems safe to me. Many families have lived here over the years...many. So P had to repair the ceiling and I sat on the rug and thought about the past, then he kicked me and told me to get back to work! Only kidding, but he did tell me to get back to work! I painted as he worked, then he went on into the other bedroom and hung new closet doors and I continued to paint....

Then we finished up the ceiling and cleaned up and vacumned and I think it turned out real nice. The new tenant invited me in last night and showed me all her stuff in place. I would have asked to take a pic..but really I don't know her that well! She might think I was a stalker or something...

Then let's move on to the kitchen. My dad says he can still see me in there in my highchair..wow, he sure has a good memory! It's been a long time since my butt fit in a highchair...and the kitchen....my new tenant LOVES RED...seems we have something in common. See that red microwave! I need it, think she'd notice it was gone????

Anyhow, it is great to see lights on over there again. I hope they stay for awhile!

It looks great. I could see myself renting that place if I were up that way. Wouldn't that be fun? We'd have so many pugs.

I do believe she would miss it. Mom still has dreams about being in the house she grew up in. Weird. But neat that you have such great memories of it.
