30 days of giving thanks

As found at Elvispug this month is National Blog Posting Month, blogging everyday, no matter how little a post. I decided to take a little different spin on the theme and am doing 30days of giving thanks...Pug style.

Day 1 - Giving thanks for a comfortable lap to rest on after a fun day.

Zoey & her daddy

Pug rescue updates

Carlos turned out to be quite a gentleman. He is hopefully going to his new forever home on Friday. I told her if it falls through I want him back!

Otis went for his curve today. Everything went very well and I met with the vet and current owner to discuss the shots, etc. I had offer of a foster parent for him for 6 months, but the owner didn't want him moved around a lot. I agreed with her, but told her we have to be honest that it may be more difficult with his diabetes to find him a new home. She decided to try the shots for a week (he goes for his re-check next Wed). We parted ways in the parking lot and when I got home, she called to thank me for my support and help and we discussed the reality of the situation being she just can NOT afford to keep him...as we were talking on the phone, my puggy friend called (Rosie's grama) and told me she has someone who wants him! She's a nurse and his illness and costs are not a problem for her! God does work in mysterious ways!

I love your 30 day spin! Pugs are thankful creatures too.

I am thrilled that your rescues are getting the homes they need and deserve. Bless those compassionate dears that have taken on such a challenge.
