BUT, I did once decide to paint a room cream yellow over what was a mauve color and didn't know about primer. It took five coats and I could still see through to the mauve color...but, I gave up since it was the guest bedroom!! ;) No more yellow rooms in my house!Pagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05850055627344999065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18606550.post-73635818574888245312008-02-20T22:17:00.000-05:002008-02-20T22:17:00.000-05:00I know the process wasn't great...but the result i...I know the process wasn't great...but the result is.....AWESOME~!!!!!!!!Nevishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14258856645710663582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18606550.post-90682589637432760792008-02-20T17:26:00.000-05:002008-02-20T17:26:00.000-05:00It looks great. It is very nice. Mom hates cream and white, too boring, so red is right up her alley. You should see the boy's room. Orange, pinkish cream, purple and red!

RoxyThe Devil Doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13390588292163762179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18606550.post-59667888997949527832008-02-20T13:09:00.000-05:002008-02-20T13:09:00.000-05:00I LOVE it!! Husband sawed a hole in the door leading to the garage for a cat door but guess what, he still leaves the door cracked so they can go in and out. grrr.Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15510702377296760913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18606550.post-80941479626432818462008-02-20T09:39:00.000-05:002008-02-20T09:39:00.000-05:00The paint had a deep tone base. Honestly, the type of roller I was using may have been part of the problem.

I have used Sherwin Williams paint in the past. Those stores are few and far between around here. We like the Behr paint and have had good luck with it.

I also bought Satin paint instead of the Eggshell I usually buy and I think that made a difference.

Thankfully it is all done now!Punchbugpughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11647324729827438256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18606550.post-81632108627829582462008-02-20T09:09:00.000-05:002008-02-20T09:09:00.000-05:00It looks really good! You need to go to Sherwin Williams and get paint next time. It will go on a lot easier and take far less coats.Goodboy Norman Featherstonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12816477519280692229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18606550.post-71206984553266408452008-02-20T08:45:00.000-05:002008-02-20T08:45:00.000-05:00Congrats on getting it all finished! Tony's dad is a professional painter by trade and he hates to use red paint.

Our bedroom took just 3 coats but we made sure we bought red paint from a paint store that uses a red base (instead of a normal clear base) for red paints. WAY better coverage!Christine & Giggshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12701076874433792696noreply@blogger.com
