Fun with tutus!

I've been switching things up and making tutus. I feel like I'm back doing costumes for C when she danced! Check out my etsy to see the ones I have listed so far. I have also made quite a selection for the local shop and a few custom ones. As always if you have an idea, I can probably make it happen with fabric!

I'm wondering how Marty would feel about a tutu?

Zoey works the party

We are so thankful that Zoey is feeling better. This little girl sure loves herself a party. Unlike the others who follow me around, Miss Zoey is not afraid to do her own thing. She was all over the yard and despite her face, she really was having a good time!

For those that think how cruel dressing a dog, Zoey loves dressing up. When I bring out an article of clothing she dances around readily waits to be dressed. I would truly NOT do this if I thought it made any of them unhappy.

There's that little smile I know and love....

Another birthday under her belt...

C had plans on Friday for her birthday. We did get to go for lunch, but then celebrated for ourselves on Saturday at camp. She was admiring her cookie cake here. We just had to run inside from our campfire due to thunder, pouring rain and lightning. Birthdays sure do change over the years.

Kiki's birthday party take one!

We have over 300 photos from Kiki's Birthday!!! We'll share a lot of them over the next several days! Here is the beautiful doggy cake. We went with ladybug theme for the birthday girl.In lieu of gifts we asked that people attending donate to KPR in Miss Patty's memory. We raised $260.00, which we will be forwarding on to KPR this week. There still were a few people that insisted Miss Kiki needed gifts too. She is one spoiled little girl!Speaking of the birthday girl. Here she is in the new tutu I made her. Cupcake tree for human, snacks, treat bags for the pups and pizza for the humans were also served.
I painted rocks like ladybugs and gave them out as the people favors. The drinks were lemon water and berry water for both humans and canines and then iced tea for just humans. You might say I really got into this party!!!! Everyone had a great time. We had more than 30 dogs, 25 adults and 3 kids!

Anyone need a party planner???? :)

hApPY BiRTHdAY 1st kIKi!!!!

A year ago today our "little" Kiki was born. Many of you may remember her mama Sassy was taken in by KPR just a few days before delivering her big brood on the puppy cam. We watched and fell in love and next thing we knew I was driving to to Indiana to get that little monster!!! Today we are celebrating with our furry friends here and wish all of you could be with us!! We'll be sharing the festivities soon!

Kiki is almost 1

It has been a pretty said week around Pugpossessed. We are all still very much mourning the passing of Miss Pattycakes. That little girl was sure something and has left a VERY BIG hole in all our hearts. We were going to cancel the party shindig for Kiki, but my bf said NO, the party will go on! Initially the idea was no gifts with donations going to KPR, now we have put a twist and donations will still be going to KPR, but in Miss Patty's honor. Thank you Miss Patty for letting us all be a part of your short little life!

Sad, sad, day....

I had no idea when I changed my header to include a picture of sweet little Miss Patty that her remaining days on this Earth were few. Sadly today she passed away while having surgery to remove her eyes. Some of you may recall she was found wandering the roads. My bf took her in as a foster. She was going to get her healthy and find her a good home. When it came time for her to go she found she couldn't give her up. This little girl touched many a heart. She was a little spitfire and despite her blindness so enjoyed her walks and new home. Her mama had reservations about the surgery, but was told by two vets that removing her eyes was in her best interests...who could know? My heart breaks for my friend. All I can do is cry along and offer my love. I have no answers. All I can hold onto is that we're in this together. We're here for each other. We hold each other up when we're down. We worry together and rejoice together. We plod along together and try to do our best. But tonight I shake my fist at the sky. I try not to question why, but hold mine a little tighter and a little longer.

Run free Miss Patty...your eyes can now see what your heart knew was there.....
