A tad bit of the Irish and granny sayings....

Here are some "close-ups" of my St. Paddy's tree decorations. Devil Dog's mom wondered how I have so many decorations with the puggy gang here. This tree is in the front entry porch. There is a doggie gate to prevent the wee furry ones from coming out here. Funny though, they don't really bother with it too much even when they pass by on the way outside. Now maybe if there were doggie treats hanging from it.....hmmmmm.....is there a holiday that would allow a tree of doggie treats???? I'll have to think on that one for sure.
I was thinking this morning about how gray it is outside after our beautiful sunny day yesterday. Whenever it is like this I think of my grammy's response to someone complaining about the weather...."did you thank God for the sunshine yesterday?" I find myself repeating little things my grammy's and mom used to say to me. When you really wanted something my other grammy used to say "If it's not worth asking for it's not worth having". Anyone out there got any good granny sayings?????

Why not take some dog biscuits and dip them in that white chocolate stuff tinted green?

Now how would you hang them on the tree safely?

More thought required. . . .

Your trees are always so cute. I like your Granny's sayings. Woman's grandma lady is really mean and smokes A LOT, so you probably wouldn't want to hear any of her sayings, but let's relive a conversation they had a Christmas, because it is so darn funny.

Woman: Merry Christmas Gram.

Gram: I don't know what's so Merry about it. It's the shittenest most day of the year.

Nice, eh? Shittenest most - new term coined by Woman's grandma lady.

Norman, I am sorry the Woman doesn't have a nice grandma lady. I was very lucky to have 2 nice grammy's and even a nice great-grammy. It was wonderful!

If you ask the pugs I am sure they would say that every day is a day deserving of a tree full of treats :-)

My grandmother use to say "bless his/her heart" all the time but most everyone says that here. It's sort of an insult actually. For example: Bless her heart but she's dumber than a door knob.

My memere always used to say "If you can't say anything nice about someone then don't say anything at all." She also used to say "you're going to eat a peck of dirt before you die." She was funny.
You tree is very cute. I am glad your dogs do not bother it. I am not so sure about Roxy. Everything is fair game to her.
